Thanks to Bonnie for creating the new FTL TikTok account! She’s uploading clips from the show and they have hundreds of views already, though we don’t have many followers. While we’ll surely be booted off their platform at some point, if you are a TikTok user, please give our account a follow and do share your favorite clips. Thank you!
The ridiculous and unconstitutional bail restrictions placed on Free Talk Live co-host Nobody after the Crypto Six arrests in 2021 have been loosened a little and now he is finally able to return to the airwaves!
After wrongfully refusing to grant him bail and holding him in a cage for six months, Nobody was released in September on bail conditions that prevented him from speaking publicly as well as a prohibition on speaking with a bunch of our friends, a prohibition on using cryptocurrency, drug testing, and other restrictions. Now, several months later, the prosecution has agreed to allow Nobody to return to the air on Free Talk Live and he’s allowed to speak with Aria and me.
Curiously, this is the very same prosecution who previously argued that were Nobody to be allowed on the radio that he would somehow foment a violent revolution, despite the fact that this has never happened and he has historically been opposed in any violent on-air rhetoric by peaceful co-hosts who advocate non-violent means. We have no explanation from the federal prosecutors as to why they’ve reversed course, but perhaps it has to do with the fact that it’s clearly a violation of Nobody’s rights to prohibit him from speaking prior to being convicted on any charges.
Regardless, as of Friday night, Nobody is back on-the-air on Free Talk Live! You’ll be hearing him often and if you missed Friday’s show, here is his triumphant return:
Earlier this Fall we blew up the old website, and replaced it with this one, which is much simpler. Some features are missing, and at some point we hope to add some back in, like full access to our extensive archives. However, for now we’re keeping-it-simple. You can easily access recent shows with the archive widget on the sidebar or on the archives page and of course you can still subscribe to our podcast feeds to automatically receive each new episode as it comes out.
However, when we launched this new site, the live audio stream playback widget was not working properly. I’m happy to say that now the player is working! You’ll now find it on the live page and in the sidebar. It looks like this:
Thanks also to our 60 AMPS that have joined our new Patreon to help us Advertise, Market, Promote, and Support Free Talk Live. You’ll get some cool perks if you join and we sure do appreciate your help. Please join AMPS if you want to help us spread the ideas of liberty to more radio stations across America.
We recently blew up the old FTL website and along with that went the old AMP program, so we’re replacing that old system with our new AMPS Patreon! Just like before, you can contribute as little as $5 a month via Paypal or credit/debit card to help Free Talk Live spread the ideas of liberty on the radio – and get some cool perks.
You can read more about and join the new AMPS Patreon here. Thank you for supporting our outreach mission.
I’ve been wanting to blow up the old freetalklive.com website for years, so I finally did it. It was a nice looking site, but we’d had it in place for about a decade, plus the guys who programmed it retired a few years back, so it was starting to fall into disrepair.
It was run on a system called Drupal which has always been a huge pain to deal with and is very expensive to develop. It would have cost tens of thousands just to fix the issues present, and probably more thousands to migrate the site to the next version of Drupal, so I finally decided to throw it away and replace it with WordPress, a system with which I have a lot more experience.
Not all the content from the old Drupal site has been migrated over yet, like the Guests page, but this new site is complete enough to pull the switch.
More changes are coming to our archives as well as the AMP program, so stay tuned for announcements.
You can find links to our social options like the Matrix chat rooms, and our social media Mastodon in the “Social” menu up top, among other options, so please explore the menus. What’s on your mind? Unlike those right-wing or left-liberal extremist shows, Free Talk Live is libertarian talk radio that ANYONE can take control of. Yes, even you. Free Talk Live is the next generation of issues-oriented talk. What is the meaning of freedom? This show is about Liberty with a capital L.

Psychological Warfare: How Advertising Hijacks Your Brain | Free Talk Cast #41
byLRN.FM
In this eye-opening episode, Aria exposes the dark psychology behind modern advertising and how marketers use sophisticated manipulation techniques to bypass your rational decision-making. From exploiting cognitive biases like anchoring and scarcity to weaponizing social pressure and fear, advertisers employ teams of psychologists to hack your brain’s evolutionary shortcuts.
Drawing connections to her recent article about gaming psychology, Aria breaks down how the same techniques that make video games addictive are deployed thousands of times daily through advertising. She explores real psychological research from experts like Daniel Kahneman, Robert Cialdini, and B.F. Skinner that advertisers have weaponized to manipulate everything from your pricing perceptions to your dopamine responses.
This isn’t just about recognizing when you’re being sold to – it’s about understanding how surveillance capitalism has turned your attention itself into a product. From fake scarcity tactics and decoy pricing to the deliberate addiction mechanics of social media platforms, this episode reveals the systematic psychological warfare being waged against your consciousness.
Whether you want to understand why you make certain purchasing decisions or simply maintain some mental autonomy in a world designed to manipulate you, this episode provides the knowledge you need to fight back against the attention merchants.
